AYSO United is the official club program of AYSO, and it allows children to play at a high level of competition while still following the AYSO philosophies.  This gives us the ability to offer a program to our players that rivals any of the club teams in our area and will allow players to play at the top of the player development ladder.  AYSO United East Bay is a separate region from PHMSA, and it is supported by PHMSA and AYSO Concord.  Both PHMSA and Concord will provide AYSO United East Bay with support in the form of field usage, volunteers and a player pool to form United teams. 

That's a quick description of what AYSO United is, so now the question is how does this fit into the various programs that we already offer?  The answer to that is actually pretty simple, AYSO United is the top of the player development pathway, providing a place for our top tier players to learn and develop under the teaching from our best coaches.   

So, if the United program is the top of the player pathway, what happens to the players that want more of a challenge than our Fall Core program, but aren't quite ready to make the jump to United?  This is the step of the player pathway where players can play in a competitive environment during the Fall season instead of playing in the Fall Core program.  Depending on player numbers and coaches, we will look to form Fall teams that will play in a league comprised of other AYSO teams from different regions throughout the Bay Area.  This will give players a place to develop their skills and prepare to make the jump to the United program.  At the end of the Fall our goal is to have the top players from the Fall competitive teams move to United Academy teams and give them the opportunity to continue to develop and work towards moving towards the top United teams. 

At the end of the day, the goal of all of this is to have our players playing and developing their skills at the right level of competition.  Every player develops at a different pace, and we want to be able to offer a program for all players, no matter where they are on their respective development pathway.  AYSO United simply provides a new level of play for the players that want the top level of development.
