Playground / Schoolyard SessionsCourse Description: This training session introduces the philosophy and structure of AYSO’s Playground and Schoolyard programs, which focus on developing young players (ages 3–5) through fun, age-appropriate activities that build Fundamental Motor Skills (FMS) in a non-competitive, caregiver-participation environment. The course includes one hour of classroom instruction followed by a one-hour field session.

This field session will go over what makes AYSO different, how to coach 6U players, how to run a training session, what to do during games, how to have a successful season, etc. Great for new and seasoned coaches who will coach in the 6U division this fall.

Golden Gate Camp is AYSO Section 2’s premier annual training weekend for referees, coaches, and management volunteers, held at Menlo College in Atherton, CA. All fees for GGC are reimbursed by PHMSA upon completion of the course.
