POSITIVE COACHING
Coaches are some of the most influential people in shaping how young players develop in the game; from technical skills, sportsmanship, and passion coaches play a key role. We want all players on the pitch to feel encouraged and motivated, that’s why Positive Coaching is at the core of every AYSO coach training program.
IT STARTS WITH YOU
CALLING ALL COACHES AND REFEREES – We need you out on the pitch! If you are brand new to the game or a seasoned veteran, PHMSA – AYSO Region 281 wants you. We have a world class training program to teach you everything you need to know, all you have to do is sign up.

WHAT IS THE PHMSA VOUNTEER REQUIREMENT & POINT SYSTEM?
To ensure each season runs successfully, PHMSA has a Volunteer Requirement & Point System to fill all the vital roles for the season. Every division has a list of Core Volunteers needed for that division to be a success. These core roles must be filled at the start of the season for the Team Managers to pick up uniforms.
In 10U and above a point system is implemented. This helps to ensure that all the games have referee coverage throughout the season. Each team earns 5 Volunteer Role Points (Coach, Asst Coach, Team Manager, Field Coordinator, PHMSA Cup Volunteer), while the team referees earn the rest of the points throughout the season. Teams must earn a total of 21 points (5 volunteer role points and 16 points from their referees) in order to participate in the elimination stages of the PHMSA Cup.

IMPORTANT DATES
8/01 – Practice Begins
8/22 – First day of Games 6U and up
8/23 – Picture Day
8/30 – Playground/Schoolyard begins
9/5 & 10/10 – NO GAMES
REMINDER: No earrings on the pitch. Now is the time to get ears pierced so they can have time to heal before the start of the season.
